Fun day in the rare Georgia snow!

Lauren & Stewart – Surprise Proposal!

Camping at Vogel State Park

This weekend, my family and I camped at Vogel State Park in the Pioneer campground (primitive and remote). Packing in and packing out wasn’t easy but so worth it. A few feet from our tent were a hillside of mossy boulders, a creek and waterfall, and some of the prettiest natural light I’ve ever seen. The kids never missed their iPads or toys, not even once. I’m so glad I brought my camera . :)

Highland Community Church and Truth Spring Academy

I recently had the privilege of photographing Highland Community Church ( , Truth Spring Academy, and the North Highland community itself. If you have never visited Highland Community Church, consider spending a Sunday morning there and seeing for yourself the amazing things that God is doing in that neighborhood. This vital ministry, church, and school are helping to transform their small community literally from the inside out by loving, serving, feeding, teaching, and even housing those in need.

Everyday Life – *photos taken with Canon G16 point & shoot camera

For the longest time, I’ve wanted a nice point and shoot camera to keep with me everywhere I go… to document my family with better pictures than my iPhone can take, and without feeling like I’m at work every time I pull out my pro cameras and lenses. For my birthday, I got a Canon G16 and it’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s small, rugged, and will shoot in full manual mode. Here are some of my favorite shots that I’ve taken with it over the past month. :)
