Charlie Daniels

A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend a day photographing The Charlie Daniels Band! Although I spent much of the day taking pictures, it still served as a much needed “day off”. :)

The below images have been selected to be sold as autographed, fine art prints to benefit Camp Laughing Child at the November 18th concert and silent auction at the RiverCenter. I hope to see you all there! More info below.

PLEASE DON’T MISS the upcoming Charlie Daniels Band concert here at the RiverCenter on November 18th! The concert is to benefit Camp Laughing Child, a ministry very dear to my heart…
Concert tickets are available HERE. More info….. www.charlieforchildren.com

From the recent press release….
Charlie Daniels Band with special guest Jonathan and Lisa Moore will perform at the Rivercenter for the Performing Arts on Nov. 18, 2009. The benefit concert will raise money and awareness of Camp Laughing Child, a Christ-centered therapeutic adventure camp for institutionalized children living with HIV/AIDS.

Concert tickets are on sale online at tickets.com, and are also available from the Rivercenter Box Office, Sanctuary Book Store, and Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.

The Rivercenter will also host a silent auction on the same day as the concert from 12:00-1:30 pm. The auction will present collectible Charlie Daniels items, signed instruments, studio recording time at The Loft, a bicycle from Ride On Bikes, spa and salon treatments, furniture, art, and firearms just to name a few. Donors and auction winners will be able to meet Charlie Daniels. Lunch is provided by the generous donation of Mike and Ed’s Barbecue.

The city of Columbus and Ft. Benning will honor Charlie Daniels’ for his philanthropy and on-going support of the US Military. Mayor Jim Wetherington will honor Charlie by proclaiming Nov. 18 Charlie Daniels’ Day. Post Commander General Michael Ferriter will also present Charlie with a token of appreciation. The general will also provide an opportunity for numerous wounded and decorated soldiers to attend and meet Charlie.

Auction tickets are $10, and are available exclusively at all Mike and Ed’s Barbecue locations.

Christmas Mini Sessions available… and booking quickly!

Since we are (nearly) booked through the end of the year, we have put together the “Christmas Mini”. It’s like those just-the-right-size desserts that lots of restaurants have now…. enough to satisfy when there is not room for more (like on our overflowing calendar. Which is, by the way, on our list of blessings for 2009. Thank you all!)
So here is how the Christmas Mini works….

We’ve got a set. We think it hints at Christmas enough to be festive, but not overwhelmingly so. Please see our sample shots below so you can see the set ahead of time and plan what you want your kiddos to wear.

Your mini session will last an hour or less. During that time, we will have your photo session, review your images with you, and accept your order.

Mini Session Packages are $125 and include:

    Photo session (around 20 minutes)
    (1) 8″ x 10″ print
    (3) 5″ x 7″ prints
    *one image per package

Time will only allow for one outfit per child. Combinations of children are fine within one mini session (example: Jim Bob by himself, Suzy Q by herself, Jim Bob and Suzy Q together, etc.)

Additional packages are $75 and can be the same image as your original package or a different image from your session.

In addition to your package, you can purchase individual prints of any of the images from your mini session at 25% off our normal a la carte prices and receive a 10% discount off of our designer, press-printed Christmas cards! Card samples will be available at the studio.

These prices are only good at your mini session, so come with an idea of what you would like to order!

Your prints will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks of your session.

Email us today to reserve your mini session! (ritchie@ritchiewhite.com)   $125 payment will be required within 4 days of booking your session in order to retain your date and time.

Available Session dates and times:

    Wednesday, October 28th: 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm
    Thursday, October 29th: 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am
    Friday, October 30th: 1:30pm, 2:30pm

Sample photos of our actual Christmas Mini Session set…

Our boys - Aaron (6 months) and Eli (4 1/2 years)

I’m a photographer, not a writer :)

Okay, so after racking my brain everytime I post a blog entry to come up with a creative sentence or two about each session, I have come to realize that I am not a writer! So for the sake of time and to keep from boring you guys to death, I have decided to stop trying to write and stick to posting what you came here to see…. pictures. :)

Ledger-Enquirer Readers’ Choice Award 2009

We were humbled, honored, (and somewhat shocked) to learn recently that we were selected as one of this year’s Ledger-Enquirer Readers’ Choice favorites! Thanks so much to all of you who voted us in, especially since we had no idea that we had even been nominated! :)

*A special Readers’ Choice Awards section will be printed in this Sunday’s (July 26th) Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
