Workshops
Ritchie White Photography has been offering hands on photography workshops since 2014.
Great for hobbyists, enthusiasts, and professionals alike, each workshop is limited to 8 attendees to ensure that each person receives one on one instruction throughout the day. All workshops take place on Saturdays in our large, comfortable studio in midtown Columbus. We currently offer 3 levels of workshops that build upon the knowledge learned in the previous one.
All workshop attendees are added to our private Facebook group which serves as an online community. This group is a great place to ask questions, share your work, and keep up with future workshops. We also frequently have group shootarounds (also at no charge) where we can shoot together and learn from each other. All past workshop attendees are invited!

Workshop 1 - Camera Basics

This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to effectively use your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
Topics discussed include…
camera modes and settings
understanding exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO
focus, lenses, composition, depth of field, software, file types, etc.
Please bring your camera and lenses as we will all be taking photos throughout the workshop.
This workshop is $175 and will last approximately 5-6 hours including a break for lunch. $100 deposit due to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 8 attendees so reserve your spot today!
Workshop 2 - Natural Light for Portraiture

This workshop will teach you how to see, capture, and modify natural light to create stunning portraits. We will have a model on hand so that everyone in the workshop can practice these techniques as we learn them together.
Topics discussed include…
finding the best light
quality and direction of light
light modifiers and how to use them
angles and composition, window light, etc.
Please bring your camera and lenses as we will all be taking photos of our model throughout the workshop.
This workshop is $150 and will last approximately 5-6 hours including a break for lunch. It will be held in and around our studio. $75 deposit to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 8 attendees so reserve your spot today!
*This workshop is intended for those who have already taken our Camera Basics Workshop or already have a decent grasp on how to use your camera effectively. We will not be covering camera basics in this workshop.
Workshop 3 - Flash Photography for Portraiture

This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about using flash for portraiture.

off camera flash
multiple flash setups
automatic and manual flash control
flash modifiers and bounce techniques
blending flash with available light.
We will have a model on hand so that everyone in the workshop can practice these techniques as we learn them together.
This workshop is $150 and will last approximately 4-5 hours including a break for lunch. It will be held in and around our studio in The Village on 13th in Columbus. $75 deposit to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 8 attendees so reserve your spot today!

Lightroom & Photography Lessons
I also offer one on one lessons to teach you how to use Adobe Lightroom effectively as well as one on one photography lessons. These lessons are tailored to teach you exactly what you are wanting to learn most which will be discussed ahead of time. Hourly rates are $100/hr. and take place in my studio.
